Max is an emerging theatre director from the midlands, now based in London. They became deafened in 2018 but continued working as a musical director. They undertook the MFA Theatre Directing course at East 15, and are passionate about integrating music, BSL and creative captioning into theatre.

​

Max has experience with devising, new writing and takes a collaborative approach to theatre making. They previously came from a STEM background, and enjoy drawing on unique and unexpected sources for storytelling and devising. 

 

Directing credits include: Judgement Day (George Wood Theatre), Wonder Boy (Bristol Old Vic), The Shape of the Pain (Corbett Theatre), Dog (Drayton Arms Theatre), Romeo and Juliet (PSC), Treasure Island (Derby Theatre), The Rover (RSC). 

Musical theatre credits include: The Addams Family (DUMT), Bring it On (DUMT), Legally Blonde (DUMT).
